Last impressions

Adam and I are the last ones to leave the Ikarian centre. The heat is at its peak as it’s almost 1 p.m. and crickets sing aloud. The sky is as blue as the very first day we woke up here. It is always surprising to realize how time flies when you are perfectly at ease and focused on your present.

It has been a wonderful experience so far. We worked hard but we learnt also many things while having fun. We are leaving this island with the awareness that lots can still be done and the locals deserve to be helped to grow their local economy.

Everywhere you go here you can feel and touch an authentic reality which is hard to find elsewhere.

Next time I will come back, I hope to find many monopatias and I am sure I will smile a lot when I will look at the first one we created all together.

Uhm…what’s up there?
