1. Services Provided
Ikarian Centre (legal name: Michail Kavouriaris) provides Greek language tutoring services to non-native speakers. These services include live video sessions (via google meet etc.) asynchronous tutoring via emails exchange between the student and the teacher and asynchronous educational support, such as personalized feedback, assignment marking, and communication via email. These services are provided by a live tutor and involve significant human intervention; they are NOT automated digital products.
2. Subscription and Payments
By signing up for a tutoring plan, you agree to the recurring charges associated with your selected subscription. Payments are processed securely via bank transfers (form your bank to our bank), or payment links provided by Greek banks (like National Bank of Greece, ngbpay.com) or international payment gateways (like Stripe, Molie, Wise etc).
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time.
- Cancellations: Cancellation will stop future billing; you will continue to have access to the service until the end of your current billing cycle.
- Refunds: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you are unsatisfied with your first lesson, please contact us within 14 days of purchase to request a refund.
4. Intellectual Property
All educational materials provided during the lessons (PDFs, recordings, exercises) are for your personal use only and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed without written permission.
5. Limitation of Liability
While we strive for the highest quality of education, we do not guarantee specific results (e.g., exam success) as language learning depends on the student’s individual effort and commitment.
Privacy Policy
1. Data Collection
We collect minimal personal data to provide our tutoring services. This includes your name and email address, which you provide during the registration or inquiry process. We use this information solely to facilitate your lessons, send educational materials, and communicate regarding your progress.
2. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
3. Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
4. Comments
When students leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the rest of the users of this site or to the public, according to the visibility of the page you comment on, in the context of your comment.
5. How We Use Your Information
- To deliver live and asynchronous tutoring sessions.
- To manage your subscription and access to educational materials.

6. Data Retention
We retain your name and email address for as long as you are an active student. If you cancel your subscription, you may request the deletion of your data by contacting us (find contact info at the end of this page).
