Greek lessons & Picking olives in Ikaria

You can pick olives with us in Ikaria, if you choose to come in a Greek language course during October – November, the season of the olive harvest.

Note that the olive harvest takes place every year in the fall, as long as there is fruit on the trees. It is not always a given that there will be fruit, usually the olive trees give a large production every other year. In recent years, however, climate change has affected the trees and many years there is no production at all.
