The program lasts 4,5 hours daily (10:00 to 14:30) with breaks and includes language teaching (3 teaching hours per day) and breaks with physical activities, dance, painting and games. Classes take place from Monday to Saturday, including Saturday, for two weeks, from July 14 (Monday) to July 26 (Saturday) Language teaching includes a balanced combination of activities that focus on vocabulary enrichment and develop all skills: reading, writing, listening comprehension and speaking. Important!
Children are accompanied by their parents and stay with their parents throughout the course period. Parents are responsible for bringing children to the beginning of classes and picking them up at the end.
Objective of the lesson
There are two main goals in our lessons: 1) lessons to make children feel safe with Greek and start communicating in Greek. A second important goal is that at the end of the two weeks the children want to continue learning Greek. The enrichment of the vocabulary of our little students and their consolidation of some grammatical structures that are necessary to express themselves in Greek are also key elements that will allow us to achieve the above goals.

Accommodation
You can book a room in the Center’s guesthouse if you want to be close. The reservation will be made automatically from the registration form only for the period from Sunday 13 to Sunday 27 July 2025.
The rooms are relatively small studios (20m2) and are equipped with two single beds measuring 1X2 meters, a kitchenette where you can prepare breakfast and a private bathroom. Each room can sleep 2 adults and one child in a camping bed.
Accommodation in the Center’s hostel is not mandatory. You can stay in some of the apartments in the area that are rented through airbnb or booking. We recommend the apartments in the settlements of Arethousa and Karavostamo, because they are very close to the center, 5 – 10 minutes by car. Evdilos is a little further away, 20 minutes by car.
Cost
For kids:
1080€ for one child. See the cost breakdown as you fill in the enrollment form, at the end of this page. Tuition includes the lessons, course materials, activities and games within the lessons, and some snacks shortly after noon. They do not include family accommodation and local transport.

The accommodation cost includes two simple meals (lunch and dinner) and local transportation to nearby beaches and Evdilos, for shopping and swimming. It does not include breakfast, but you can prepare your breakfasts in the kitchen corner of your room.
Food
During the lessons we offer snacks to our little students, so you can rest assured that they will not be hungry when they leave the lessons. We cannot cater for any special diets that a child may follow. If a child is on a special diet, you should make sure that they have something with him.
Do I need a car?
Not necessarily, if you stay at the Center guesthouse and you are happy with a swim at the nearby beaches and a few trips for shopping to Evdilos, which is the center of the area. If you do not stay at our guesthouse or if you want to explore the island, you will need to rent a car. Note that the public transportation in Ikaria is not reliable and it’s even difficult to find a taxi.
