7 days hiking Ikaria

7 days of hiking in Ikaria, in the mountains of the Ikarian Center area. The location of the Center, outside the settlements, on the slope of a hill not far from the sea and in direct contact with the natural environment is ideal for short or longer hiking excursions. On the autumn hikes, you will also have the chance to participate in olive picking.

Α typical day

• 10:30 – 16:30 Hiking on the trails of the area, visits to producers and other activities
• (dance lessons, olive picking in October – November etc.)
• 19:00 Dinner
• 20:00 – 21:30: activities (film screenings, discussions and games)

How to get here

We recommend skyexpress or aegean flights from Athens (www.skyexpress.gr or www.aegeanair.com) There is also the ferry from Piraeus, Mykonos or Samos (www.hsw.gr). We will pick you up from the port or airport on Sunday, the date of check-in for the courses. More information on how to get to Ikaria

Cost

910 € / per person, with accommodation in a private room, 2 simple meals and local transport. All rooms have a private bathroom, kitchenette and heating. Each student has a private room. If you are traveling with a friend and sharing the room with him, there is no discount. If your friend wants to participate in the Greek courses during the same period, he must register for the Greek courses with hiking. The cost is higher in this case.

Accommodation

Accommodation is at the Center guesthouse, just outside the settlement of Arethousa, in Ikaria. The place is ideal for hiking as it is located approximately in the center of the island, in the middle of nature. From the guesthouse you can enjoy a fantastic view of the mountain and the sea, the colors of the sky, some sunsets with the sun setting into the sea that will remain unforgettable, the sunrise and the moon from the top of the mountain above the guesthouse and the galaxy with thousands of stars in the sky on starry nights. You can also see birds of prey flying above your head while you are taking lessons. Each student has his own room.

Reservation

Find the periods marked in dark green (hiking weeks), check availability and make your reservation. Reservations must be from Sunday to Sunday.
